Wilson's Tess-timonial:

"Tess and I met through a mutual connection, Jonathan Ip, in 2019 and we instantly hit it off with the three of us spending hours talking about investments, usually in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space as well as other fintech and futuretech plays. Through our conversations throughout the years, Tess has constantly impressed me with her knowledge of business, managing startups, honing in on good vs bad potential investments, key indicators to watch out for, and various other intrinsic skills that cannot be taught in a book. She has an excellent track record of finding great companies to invest in and I have personally invested in three private deals with her.

Tess is incredibly generous with her time and takes the time to mentor and provide guidance through her life and business experience. Even as a senior professional, I made my own personal pivot from large corporations to early stage startup companies and Tess attended a few pitch sessions from some of the startups I was working with and she was immediately able to synthesize and summarize the pros and cons of various elements of those businesses. Over time, her conclusions proved to be right and the insights she provided me saved years of learning and trial and error with this demographic of companies.

If it hasn’t already been pieced together, Tess is very personable, charismatic and easy to get along with, it’s no surprise that she has an impressive, global network of like minded individuals regardless if they are early in their careers or recently sold their unicorn. She doesn’t hesitate in connecting people through warm introductions if she feels like both parties would benefit from that meeting whether its partnerships, career opportunities and more. As a simple example, she invited me to speak at a panel on the future with the metaverse and in the pre-meeting, I rubbed shoulders with some of the industry’s titans which was a humbling experience!

Finally, Tess still finds the time to raise a wonderful son and ensure he has a strong well balanced childhood while ensuring all of her stakeholders are well taken care of - this is a truly remarkable feat. Someone who can manage family needs while going 100% in business is someone that I would not hesitate to be in business with. Know that you are in good hands with Tess Hau and the Tess Ventures team."
